I’m sipping a grande Starbucks mint tea with steamed lemonade and one packet of honey. I’ve got a nasty cold. Sore throat, sinuses all clogged up and I sound like a chain smoker. But I’ve just got to tell you about the wonderful, FULL weekend we had.
It started with a trek down to Dallas to visit some old Baylor/Truett friends, Katie and Baxter, who are on furlough from missions in Southeast Asia. We finally got to meet their adorable and busy little man, Brooks. Katie’s family was so hospitable…they even let us sleep in their new memory foam bed!
It was so sweet to reconnect face to face with these friends who have been intentionally involved in our lives even across the globe.
This signing was very different than our last. We were one of seven other authors and the space was very small, so Finn didn’t have room to wheel around and work the crowd like he did at church.
Nonetheless, we sold about 20 books and caught up with several sets of friends. We are humbled by your support.
God’s grace today is my mom allowing me to sleep in this morning,
my brother’s awesome sense of humor,
and Finn taking an extra long nap so I can clean, type and pretend to nap.
